New York Headquarters

Over 60 employees work at AKC’s headquarters at 260 Madison Avenue, between 38th and 39th Streets — about four blocks from Grand Central Station.

The New York office is home to the President/CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Secretary, as well as the Club Relations, Communications, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Publications’ staff. The office also houses the AKC library — one of America’s finest and largest collections of canine literature and research materials.

North Carolina Operations Center

AKC employs approximately 300 administrative and professional employees at its Operations Center in Raleigh, NC. The office is located in northwest Raleigh in the Brier Creek Corporate Center at the intersection of I-540 and Route 70. This area is conveniently located in Raleigh through its proximity to major roads and the RDU Airport, as well as it offers a prominent display of American Kennel Club signage that will be seen from I-540.

AKC’s Chief Operating Officer heads the Raleigh office. Major divisions include Registration, Customer Service, Compliance, Event and Judging Operations, and Companion and Performance Events. Information Services, Purchasing, and Human Resources are also located here.

In addition, two AKC affiliated companies, AKC Reunite and AKC/Canine Health Foundation, are housed in the same location with the AKC Operations Center in Raleigh, NC. All have relocated together to the new location in Raleigh.

Field Staff

These AKC employees diligently travel and independently work through-out the United States. Whether addressing the concerns of judges or exhibitors, or conducting Compliance Audits at kennels, our representatives are out in the field sharing their expertise in support of the sport of purebred dogs.
