News and Updates:
7/17/2026 – AKC’s 2026 Agility Invitational Round 1 invitations will be emailed out on/about 7/27/2026.
- The AKC 2026 Agility Invitational premium list has been published.
- Exhibitors who are expecting they will receive an invite should verify with AKC their email to be used in sending the invitation by filling out and submitting the form here.
- Verifications must be submited prior to Monday, 7/27/2026.
- A Top 15 list by Breed will be published prior to 7/27/2026 confirming who is being sent a Round 1 invitation. www.akccompanionevents.com/agi
- ENTRIES OPEN/CLOSE: Entries will open on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 8:30 am EST. There will be two entry time periods with Round 1 entries closing on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 8:00 pm EST and Round 2 entries closing on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST.
7/7/2026 – RV parking reservation form & information – This is for on-site overnight RV parking. Space is limited.
4/15/2026 – The eligibility time period for AKC’s 2026 Agility Invitational shall be closing on June 30, 2026 after which Round 1 Top 5 invites will be sent out in mid-July. *
**NEW** this year — AKC will be inviting the Top Two Preferred dogs during Round 1’s invites.
- If the Top 5 dogs in a breed are all regular dogs, then both a 6th and 7th invite will be sent to the Top Two Preferred dogs.
- If there are less than 5 regular dogs within a breed, then a minimum of two invites will be sent to the Top Two Preferred dogs with a max of 6 invites being sent for that breed.
- If having sent invites to the Top Two Preferred dogs there are additional spaces within the Top 5, then additional preferred invites will be sent to complete the Top 5 as has been done in past years.
