AKC General COVID-19 Protocols (as of October 8, 2020)
An overview of the protocols that must be followed at all AKC Events taking place at the Orange County Convention Center during the week of December 6-14, 2020.
The AKC is maintaining a “Show & Go” event. Therefore, there will be no ringside seating.
All Sporting, Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting Breeds and Junior Showmanship Competition will be Judged on Saturday
All Working, Terrier, Herding Breeds, Miscellaneous and Best in Show will be Judged on Sunday
The 2020 event will showcase the top canine athletes and will also include popular attractions such as the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series Finals, the AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy and Junior Stakes and NADD/AKC Dock Diving. The show will once again take place alongside the AKC Agility Invitational, with junior events in Conformation and Agility. Added this year are the AKC National Obedience Championship, the AKC Rally National Championship and the inaugural AKC Fast CAT Invitational.

Judge Changes for AKC National Championship
In place of Mrs. Sheila Polk:
Mr. Sam Houston McDonald will judge Retrievers (Chesapeake Bay) and Spaniels (Clumber); Mr. D. Scott Pfeil will judge Rhodesian Ridgebacks; Mr. Douglas A. Johnson will judge Xoloitzcuintli.
In place of Ms. Kathi Brown:
Mr. Clay Coady will judge Kerry Blue Terriers; Mr Harold Tatro III will judge the remainder of Ms. Brown’s assignment.
In place of Dr. Thomas M. Davies:
Mrs. Vicki Seiler-Cushman will judge the Working Bred-By-Exhibitor Group
In place of Mr. Michael Faulkner:
Mr. Sam Houston McDonald will judge the Sporting Bred-By-Exhibitor Group; Michael Canalizo will judge Australian Shepherds; Cheslie Pickett will judge Best Junior Handler.

Judge Changes for AKC National Championship
Mr. Clay Coady will judge Bull Terrier (White), Miniature Bull Terrier and Rat Terrier in place of Ms. Kathi Brown.
In place of Mr. Edd Embry Bivin: Mr. Robin L. Stansell will judge Alaskan Malamute, Anatolian Shepherd Dogs, Bullmastiffs and Saint Bernards.
In place of Ms. Helene Nietsch: Mr. William C. Stebbins will judge Dogues de Bordeaux, Great Pyrenees, Neapolitan Mastiffs and Standard Schnauzers; Mr. Robin L. Stansell will judge Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Leonbergers, Mastiffs; Mrs. Cindy Stansell will judge American Eskimo Dogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Dalmatians, Finnish Spitz, Keeshonden, and Schipperkes.
