American Kennel Club

A major force on the international dog scene, the AKC operates the world’s largest purebred-dog registry, affiliated with U.S. dog clubs, and approves and regulates dog events annually. The AKC is a strong advocate and supporter of purebred dogs, responsible dog ownership, canine good health, and advances the integrity of the breeding and sport of purebred dogs.

    Unique opportunity for classically trained marketer who seeks rewarding entrepreneurial brand building opportunity for not-for-profit organization devoted to dogs! The American Kennel Club is establishing for the first time in its 127 year history a Marketing Department to build its brand. If you are someone who enjoys helping to lead and champion a brand customer segment by developing brand building strategies and recommendations and making them happen with the internal matrix team and the Ad Agency, you may be the perfect fit for our team. We are looking for someone with 4-8 years experience in consumer goods or pharmaceutical DTC marketing with a Fortune 500 company. An MBA would be a plus but is not required. Our primary marketing tactics are direct marketing and we are evolving our technology base to mobile marketing, thus this experience would be also be a plus but is not required.
