American Kennel Club Marches in the New York City Veterans Day Parade

(Tuesday, November 15, 2011)

On Friday, November 11, the American Kennel Club was an honored participant in the New York City Veterans Day Parade. The AKC marched in the parade with dog breeds most commonly used to defend and protect the United States alongside our dedicated service men and women. Among them, the German Shepherd Dog, the Belgian Malinois, the Doberman Pinscher, and the Boxer. In addition 11 members of the MTA K-9 unit and United States Police Canine Association marched with the AKC to honor our nation’s veterans and celebrate AKC Meet the Breeds, where the public can get up close and personal with all the breeds marching in the parade and enjoy live demonstrations by United States Police Canine Association.
