Agility is a fast-growing dog sport that showcases the power of the human-canine bond. As the handler directs the dog through a predetermined obstacle course, the team races against the clock to finish with as few mistakes as possible.

What Dog Breeds Will I See?

All dog breeds can compete in agility. Each dog covers the same course, where jump heights are adjusted to make the competition fair across all dog sizes. You will see plenty of Border Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, and Australian Shepherds. Other breeds who qualified to compete at the 2026 AKC National Agility Championship include the French Bulldog and plenty of All-American Dogs.
