Bailey’s Summer Reading Challenge, hosted by AKC Public Education, encourages summer reading while promoting the importance of the human-canine bond. *Detailed instructions and materials are automatically sent after registering*
- All participants should read their books independently to the best of their ability.
- Each completed book should be recorded in the provided reading log.
- Parent/legal guardian must submit a completed reading response sheet and reading log provided below to AKC Public Education (addresses provided on the reading log).
- Optional discussion questions have been included as a tool to help guide conversations about the books.
- All reading logs and response sheets must be received by 11 PM ET on 8/31/26.
- It is not required to pick texts from the suggested reading lists; they are just recommendations to get started!
- Eligible participants who complete a reading log and reading response sheet will receive prizes based on the reading tier they reach (see below). All prizes will be sent to the address provided on the Jotform at registration by 9/29/26.
