A school can be considered a Title 1 school if children from low-income families make up at least 40 percent of the students enrolled at that school.

  • Sign Up to Receive Books +

Thank you for your interest in applying to receive books through AKC Public Education Bailey’s Book Club Program. Please be sure to read all the information on the website. Note that only educators from Title 1 schools in the following roles are eligible to receive books: general education teachers, school librarians or media specialists, special education teachers, and reading interventionists. If you fit this criteria sign up to receive books here. Please note that book boxes are sent between September 01 and May 15 to coincide with traditional school calendars. Due to high teacher turnover and the closing of schools over the summer, any qualifying applicants who do not receive a book box by May 15th will be notified and asked to re-apply for the next school year.
