Bailey’s Book Club, an American Kennel Club® program, is designed to provide dog-themed books and related resources to K-12 Title 1 schools in cities around the country, while also providing children an opportunity to learn about the importance of the human-canine bond.

  • What is a Title 1 School? +

The Title I program is a federally supported program that offers assistance to educationally and economically disadvantaged children to help ensure they receive an equitable, high-quality, well-rounded education and meet the school system’s challenging academic standards.

A school can be considered a Title 1 school if children from low-income families make up at least 40 percent of the students enrolled at that school.
