As expected, in yesterday’s New Jersey State Senate’s voting session, State Senator Raymond Lesniak attempted to organize a vote to overturn Governor Christie’s conditional veto of S.3041. Lacking the votes necessary to override, no vote was taken on this issue.
While a temporary victory, this means that State Senator Lesniak may try again to garner the required number of votes to override the conditional veto of S.3041 at future voting sessions of the State Senate. AKC Government Relations will continue to provide action updates on battling this effort.
