Yesterday, a Prince George’s County committee held a public hearing on a proposal that would make several significant changes to the county’s animal laws.  The committee announced that no vote would be taken, but the measure would be brought back in the near future.

AKC continues to encourage those who reside or participate in dog events in the county to contact the committee and council on the proposed changes.  See AKC’s previous legislative alert for talking points and information on how to contact the committee.

AKC Government Relations will continue to closely monitor the proposal and provide more information as it becomes available.  For more information, contact doglaw@akc.org.
