For well over a year, Indiana field trialers and hunt test enthusiasts have been frustrated by the Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife's efforts to limit access to state lands for dog training, exercise, and other canine events. Concerned dog owners will soon have an opportunity to impact this policy. IDNR has recently asked the Natural Resource Commission for adoption of a change in the dog training rules. In response, the Commission's Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on the issue on Thursday, April 22nd. The meeting will begin at 10 am at the Ft. Harrison State Park Inn in Indianapolis. Indiana dog owners are strongly encouraged to attend and voice your support for continued access to state lands.
