Field trialers and hunt test enthusiasts in Indiana who have been frustrated by their state's recent restrictions on performance events have an opportunity to share their thoughts with state officials in June. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife is hosting a series of open houses around the state June 3-11th. Fish and Wildlife is asking people to contribute ideas for revisions to Indiana's rules governing hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife. If you live in Indiana, this is your opportunity to speak up for field trials and hunt tests on state lands.

If you cannot attend one of the open houses, please submit comments to Fish and Wildlife by mail or online (see below for details). Share this information with your fellow sporting dog owners in Indiana, and help protect performance events in Indiana.

From the Indiana Fish and Wildlife Web site:

Let Indiana's fish and wildlife managers know what you think by attending one of our open house meetings. You will be able to comment and suggest changes to hunting, trapping, fishing and other wildlife-associated regulations. Some regulations that we will be reviewing are those pertaining to dog running/training on public and private land, coyotes, deer hunting weapons and fish size limits.

You may also send your written comments for consideration. Written comments must be received by June 16, 2003 at the following address:
