If you missed the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship (AENC), which aired last year on FidoTV (Channel 245 on DISH), you can now be part of the excitement of the show thanks to a new documentary, "Dog Show," by U-verse, operated by AT&T.
The AKC holds the nationwide all-breed show in Orlando, Florida, each December. Although the documentary focuses on the conformation competition, other sporting events took place during the week, including the AKC Agility Invitational, AKC Obedience Classic, Dock Dog competitions and demonstrations, AKC Meet the Breeds, and more. Last year’s event attracted more than 4,100 dogs, a new record in the show’s 20-year history.
Guiding viewers through what AENC is all about in the documentary are AKC President Dennis Sprung, AKC Vice President Gina DiNardo, and AKC Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Jerry Klein, as well as many talented handlers and breeders.
The AENC documentary also features some canine faces viewers might recognize from this month’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, including Rumor, a champion German Shepherd Dog who was a crowd favorite at this year’s Westminster show and won Best in Show in Florida, which came with a $52,000 award.
Where to Watch:
U-verse customers can also see it by tuning in to channel 600 or 1600, where it will play several times a day.
