2023’s Most Popular Dog Breeds by City

The American Kennel Club announced 2023’s most popular dog breeds, and for the second year in a row, the French Bulldog takes the No. 1 spot. Prior to 2022, the Labrador Retriever had held the No. 1 spot in the United States — for 31 years running. But these ranking differ when it comes to different cities across the United States. In some places, the Frenchie has long reigned supreme, whereas others see a different breed on top.
