The Versatile Companion Dog titles are titles that are designed to acknowledge and reward owners of all breeds that compete in Obedience, Agility, and Tracking events. The VCD titles are a way to showcase their tremendous talent in so many areas. The links below contain a list of dogs that have attained Versatile Companion Dog titles. If you have any questions, please direct them to obedience@akc.org.

These dog/handler teams are truly versatile in competition. Developed in 2001 hundreds of dogs of all different breeds have been awarded VCD titles, yet it has taken eight years for a team to achieve the impressive Versatile Companion Champion (VCCH) title.

The AKC is proud to announce that the first VCCH was awarded on February 15th, 2009 to VCCH Jakki UDX a Golden Retriever from Hermitage, TN. Jakki is owned and handled by Andrea Kyllarova. The AKC congratulates you both! This achievement proves tremendous versatility on the dog’s part and true dedication on the owner’s part. This team is a testament to the canine/human bond and a credit to the sport of purebred dogs. Read Jakki’s story and see photos of Jakki in action!

The VCCH title is awarded to any dog that becomes an Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH), a Master Agility Champion (MACH), and is awarded a Champion Tracker (CT) title.
