The American Kennel Club® (AKC®) is excited to announce the launch of #AKCDogStar, an Instagram influencer program. This educational program aims to spread information about dog sports and responsible dog ownership. The canines participating shine inside the ring and out!
“We’re thrilled to harness the power of social media to spread excitement and education about dog sports and training,” said AKC Executive Secretary Gina DiNardo. “From a Basset Hound that does Agility to a Cane Corso training to become a therapy dog, these dogs embody the mission and message of the AKC and go outside of society’s expectations of their respective breeds.”
The Instagram influencers launching #AKCDogStar are Reina the Cane Corso, Dex the Doberman Pinscher, Poppy the Basset Hound, Scout & Pip the Border Terriers, Winston the Old English Sheepdog, and Raven & Penny the Poodles. These dogs are busting myths about their breeds and demystifying the world of AKC dog sports for their followers.
