It's the holiday season and that means traveling to visit with family and friends. If you're planning on traveling with your dog, MNN says these are the top airports for you!
1. Denver International Airport
Denver International Airport has private restrooms for pets in each of their concourses in addition to Jeppesen Terminal. Denver International also has a pre-security outdoor pet relief area and “Paradise 4 Paws,” an on-airport pet resort.

The resort has private suites, flat screen TVs, massage therapy, on-site medical experts, and obedience training. It's like doggie-heaven.
2. Minneapolis-Saint Paul
The Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport has multiple areas dedicated to relief for pets. There are areas at both terminals, one outside and one inside.
Additionally, this airport has a 24/7 pet boarding facility where your dog (or other pet) can get pampered while you're away. The facility not only offers boarding, but also doggy day care, spa treatments, and training.
3. Detroit Metro
Detroit Metro is another airport that understands the importance in catering to pets and service animals. The airport has animal relief areas at each terminal. McNamara and North Terminal both have two animal relief areas, one pre-security, and one post-security.
4. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson
Hartsfield-Jackson not only offers pet areas, but also a 1,000-square-foot dog park to accommodate pets and service dogs. The dog park is located in the Ground Transportation area on terminal south. It is fully fenced-in and offers benches and biodegradable waste bags.
5. Reno Tahoe
Reno Tahoe airport proudly has not one, but two dog parks to service canine companions. Their original “Gate K-9 Park,” opened in 2004, and the second park opened in 2012. The dog parks are fully-fenced, have running water, clean up provisions, a fire hydrant, and a canopy for bad weather.
6. San Diego
Like the other airports on the list, San Diego has several pet relief airports both indoors and outdoors. The airport also has a special “Ready Pet Go” program where they bring in therapy dogs to provide stress relief and comfort to passengers.
7. Washington Dulles
Dulles International Airport, has four designated Service Animal/Pet Relief areas. They have two inside the concourses, post-security, and two outside the main terminal, pre-security. All of the areas are supplied with waste bags and receptacles.
8. Phoenix Sky Harbor
Phoenix Sky Harbor airport has five areas for pets to walk and relieve themselves. All of the areas have space for walks, water, and waste clean-up. Unfortunately, these areas are all pre-security.
9. Philadelphia International
Philadelphia International airport has not one, not two, but SEVEN “Pet Ports” located in every terminal. There are also relief areas outside the airport on the Departing Flights road and outside the baggage claim buildings.
10. New York JFK
JFK's Terminal 4 has it's own pet bathroom, located right next to the human restrooms. This bathroom is post-security for travelers' convenience.
Additionally, the airport is in the process of building a terminal especially for pets. According to plans, the project will cost $48 million and include pet boarding, a grooming spa, hay-lined stalls for horses, and a veterinary clinic.
