The Kennel Club of Palm Springs Dog Show on Saturday, Jan. 5 and 6, is one of the largest in the country with over 7,000 entries.

Thousands of dogs from across the United States will relieve their cabin fever and celebrate the start of 2019 by traveling to the Kennel Club of Palm Springs All-Breed Dog Shows at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California on January 5 and 6.

The Kennel Club of Palm Springs conducts two of the largest all-breed dog shows in the country, with over 7,000 entries on Saturday and Sunday, and it is considered the opening event of the year on the West Coast.

Judging begins at 8 a.m. each day with group judging beginning mid-afternoon. On Saturday, NOHS group judging will start at 2:45 p.m., followed by Variety group judging at 3:15.

You can catch the live stream of the group judging and Best in Show on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 3:15 p.m. PST on AKC.TV or by downloading the AKC.TV app on RokuApple TV, or AmazonFireTV.

The order of group judging will be as follows:

Toys – Mr. Nichols

Working – Mrs. Riedel

Sporting – Mr. Horn

Hounds – Mr. Pfeil

Terriers – Mr. Ferruggiano

Non-Sporting – Mr. Milutinovich

Herding – Mrs. Polk

Best Brace, Best in Show – Mrs. Greendale-Paveza

Can I Attend?

Admission is free, but there is a $10 fee for parking. There will be a vendor mall with a variety of pet toys and other dog supplies for sale. Spectators are encouraged to leave their dogs at home but to bring their own lawn chairs.
