MACH BRADLEY'S BRANDY RN MXG MJS MXP2 MXPB MJP2 OF XFP T2B2 RATM CGCA owned by Kevin & Alison Bradley of Fayetteville, AR
Kevin and Alison adopted Brandy from Fayetteville Animal Services on Nov. 22, 2008. They discovered an intelligent, energetic young dog and got her involved in training.
Soon, Brandy was competing in agility trials. She has been successful in that sport for several years, even earning the AKC Master Agility Championship.
But as Brandy is getting older, the Bradleys made plans for her to retire from the active sport at the end of 2016.
Alison was encouraged by a friend to get Brandy involved in barn hunt trials as a means of staying active after retiring from agility. Barn Hunt is a sport organized by the Barn Hunt Association (BHA), and AKC recognizes BHA titles.
Dogs are judged on their natural hunting instincts. Rats, safely enclosed in heavy PVC tubes, are hidden among hay bales, and dogs are judged on their ability to locate them within a timed period.
In January 2016, Brandy was introduced to Barn Hunt at a clinic in Oklahoma and immediately showed talent.
Alison entered Brandy in her first Barn Hunt trial later that month where she earned her RATI (Instinct) and RATN (Novice) titles. Brandy went on to earn her RATO (Open) and RATS (Senior) in the summer of 2016.
On Sept. 25, 2016, Brandy earned her RATM (Master) title and is the first “All-American Dog” in Arkansas to attain that title.
