Cinder’s owner, trainer and handler Barbara Minnich of Georgetown, IN, tells the story of how she met Cinder (formally known as MACH Minnich’s Cinder RN MXB MJB NF) and how they became an agility team:

“I found Cinder in a school parking lot sitting all by herself. We connected immediately but it wasn’t long before I knew I needed a trainer. She was headstrong and had a definite attitude, much like her new owner,” Barbara said. “We found an excellent trainer who set us both on the right path. Before I knew it, the trainer said that Cinder and I were ready for the ring. The Novice class came and went, me being nervous as a tick. The Open (intermediate level) took much longer with my nervous energy creeping down the leash. Excellent and Masters (most advanced levels) fared much better with our Q percentage going from 30% to 50% to 75%. Cinder nor I am any longer green. She does exactly what I tell her in the ring, and any time we have a dreaded NQ, I know it is because of me. She is my special teammate. We have a bond that can never be broken.”

Cinder finished the AKC Master Agility Championship on July 6, 2014, at the Evansville Obedience Club agility trial.
