Five years ago – on April 1, 2010 – the American Kennel Club opened competitions in AKC Agility, AKC Rally & AKC Obedience to mixed-breed dogs. Since that date, thousands of All-American Dogs have earned AKC titles and qualified and won in the AKC national events.
Congratulations to all the winners in the program and good luck to those up and comers!
We hope you enjoy this photograph from the first AKC Agility Invitational (AI) and AKC National Obedience Championship (NOC) that mixed-breeds were eligible for in 2011.
Pictured with AKC President Dennis Sprung and former AKC COO John Lyons are some of the first mixed-breed entrants in these events, left to right, Don Eicher & Sami, Pat Mann & Twister, Taccara Andrade & Prince Doggie, Aryn Hervel & Crush, and Kelly Maier & Tucker.
