February 2nd at 8 p.m. on Animal Planet and Discovery Channels 

The American Kennel Club® and Eukanuba invite you to tune in for the seventh annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 8PM ET/PT. TV Guide recently included the event on a list of “21 Shows You've Gotta See,” calling it “the annual best-in-showcase of toys, terriers and other classy canines.”

The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship is held in conjunction with the AKC Agility Invitational and the AKC National Obedience Invitational. New to the show this year is the inaugural Eukanuba World Challenge. This inaugural international competition features top dogs from 40 countries and six continents.

In total nearly 3,000 of the world's top dogs vied for honors in Long Beach, CA for a total of $225,000, including $50,000 to the Best in Show winner. Highlights from the Agility competition will air on Animal Planet on Sunday, February 10th at 8PM ET/PT.

Hosted by Bob Goen with play-by-play commentary from Lee Arnold and Edd Bivin, viewers can watch the competition and learn about the world of dog shows, as well as over 150 dog breeds. Reporter Leanza Cornett will also contribute with special features throughout the broadcast.

The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship will repeat multiple times following the premiere.
