For Colonel Charles Beckwith, also known as Beck (pictured above), it took goggles to persuade him to try swimming on his Florida vacation this summer, says his owner Kathi Zornes of Ohio.
“He wouldn’t get near the pool without his Doggles on. But once he had his Doggles on, he’d get in the water without hesitation and play with us; we thought it was SO amazing and human-like! It also lends credit to his comical antics and personality so many people here in southern Ohio love about him as a therapy dog,” Kath said.
Five-year-old Beck has earned the AKC Therapy Dog Distinguished title for his many hours of service to help others as a certified therapy dog; he is a member of the AKC Canine Partners program for all dogs, including mixed-breeds and rescues.
Zoe Hedge, shown modeling her goggles below, wore them on her summer trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina as she loves to dig up the beach sand, says her owner Jasmine Hedge of Greenville, SC. Zoe is also a member of the AKC Canine Partners community.
