The AKC Junior Classic will be held Dec. 15 as part of the AKC Obedience Classic in Orlando, FL. Young people get the opportunity to compete with their dogs in obedience and rally in a national setting. We will be spotlighting youth who are competing with All-American Dogs in the AKC Canine Partners program in weeks leading up the big events.

Name: The Pumpkin King

Call Name: Jack

Age: 4 years

Gender: Male

Classes:  Beginner Novice & Rally Novice

Owner: Jacob Zettel

Hometown: Wilmore, KY

Jacob’s mom, Stacey Thomas, says: “Jacob is a 17-year-old junior at Global Impact STEM Academy in Springfield, OH. Jake is a cross country runner and has shown his dogs in 4H for seven years with his 4H group Canine Chaos. Jack (AKC name: The Pumpkin King) is a 4-year-old Aussie mix. While Jacob has been showing him in 4H for three years, this is the first year that he has shown in AKC. Jack started out as quite a challenging dog with anxiety issues and energy with no end! However, Jacob found that as long as Jack had work to do, he was content with life. So, he dove head first into obedience and agility and found that this rescue dog was smart and would do anything to please his boy! Jacob is excited for his first trip to nationals and can’t wait to have this experience with his best friend, Jack!”
