AKC Summer Camp Curriculum

AKC Dog Adventures Kids Camp is a five-part series of lessons that teaches youth ages 9-12 about the history of dogs, purebred dogs, AKC sports, careers with dogs, and more.

The lessons include interactive lessons, group activities, crafts, and STEM-based projects that help kids engage with canine topics in meaningful ways. Campers will gain a deeper appreciation for the many roles dogs play in our lives—as athletic partners, working companions, and family members.

The lessons can be used by AKC clubs, community organizations, youth programs, and camps nationwide. Whether utilized as a weeklong camp or a series of dog-themed workshops, the ready-to-use materials make it easy to plan and lead unforgettable experiences. This program is free to download below and can be implemented either for free or at a very low cost.
