2021 Flagship AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day

2021 Flagship AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day

Due to the current worsening state of the COVID-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety, we have made the decision to cancel the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event scheduled to take place September 11, 2021, at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC.

We are grateful to the volunteers who planned to attend with their dogs and were excited to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

We look forward to holding this wonderful educational event in 2022.

Get Involved From Home

We encourage all responsible dog owners to take a pledge to follow the pet promise.

If your dog isn’t already a Canine Good Citizen, it’s time to start training! There are many ways you can train for CGC skills from home. Once your dog is ready, contact an evaluator and set up an in-person assessment.

Enrich your dog’s life by getting started in a new sport or activity from home. There are many AKC titles you can earn from your house.
