    Simply call our toll-free AKC Vetline number with your pet-related inquires and receive top-of-the-line advice and support. Our staff is here to help when you need it, available 24 hours a day,7 days a week.

  • What type of health and wellness issues can AKC Vetline address? +

    AKC Vetline services are intended for medical advice and triage.

    Our expert veterinary staff can provide general care instructions and advise you on the urgency of your pet’s medical concern. Our staff can inform you if an additional in-person consultation or emergency care is necessary.

    • “My dog ate chocolate, or a questionable plant, or a household item. Should I be worried?”

  • Can I request a prescription refill? +

    AKC Vetline is not authorized to prescribe or refill prescriptions for your pets. To obtain these requests, please consult your local veterinary office

    To prescribe or refill a pet’s medical prescription a veterinarian must be able to preform a full in-person exam to assess the health condition or issue. Currently AKC Vetline is a completely  remote/virtual service and is unable to preform those assessments.
