- Approves all new clubs to hold AKC sanctioned, mentored, and licensed events and additional competition types for expanding upon the events held by existing licensed and member clubs.
- Manages the club approval process for eligible licensed clubs applying for member club status and reports its recommendations to AKC’s Board of Directors.
- Maintains official AKC records and files for thousands of clubs, including designated territories and approved territory adjustments.
- Collaborates with clubs to review club Bylaws and Bylaw revisions and reviews member club bylaw revisions for AKC Board ratification.
- Provides informal assistance regarding internal club dispute resolution.
