Lesson
Introduction
- Instruct students to think, pair, share about women’s rights?
- Do you think women currently have the same rights as men?
Explicit Instruction/Teacher Modeling
- Today we will be considering three views of women in history.
- Place students into groups.
Independent Working Time
- Have students read the following articles. As they read, they should jot notes about each article.
- When students are finished reading, they should answer the comprehension questions and respond to the writing prompt.
Review and Closing
- Invite students to share their responses to the writing prompt.
