This office is responsible for handling all calls involving any type of registration question or problem. When you want any AKC registration forms or answers to registration questions, this is the office to call. If you are calling about a registration application, keep in mind that the normal processing time is approximately two to three weeks. If you want to check the status of an application you submitted, you must be able to provide the customer service representative with the breeding information on your dog or litter.

The AKC’s Customer Service Call Center receives over 65,000 phone calls monthly. The questions range from registration matters to the ordering of publications. DNA Operations uses DNA genotyping to ensure the accuracy of the Registry. This is accomplished through DNA testing during routine kennel inspections with the Compliance Audit Program, through voluntary submissions for the Parent Breed Club Progam, and through the DNA Certification Program. Weekend Club Hotline

The American Kennel Club has initiated a service for clubs seeking advice and assistance during their weekend events when there is no AKC Field Representative present. This includes clubs holding all-breed, specialty, obedience and/or performance events. The service is to be utilized for any pressing issues or questions that need immediate response, including, but not limited to, misconduct charges and show committee hearings. This Emergency Hotline is available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Eastern Time, on Saturday and Sunday.
