Requirements and Information

Where: Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest, Clermont, Kentucky

When: September 28-29, 2013
Judges:

Team 1 — Sally Elkins and Betty Winthers
Team 2 — Joe Hamzy & Ray Desmarais

Chief Tracklayers: Terry McGauley & Tony Ginter

The tracks will comply with the AKC Tracking Regulations, Chapters 4 and 5 with the following modifications:

Turns: 5-7

Age of Track: 2-4 hours

Length of Track: 600-800 yards

Articles: 4 (cloth, plastic, metal and leather, start article will be cloth)

Cross-tracks: Natural, none-plotted

Obstacles: At least two

Surfaces: Variable terrain, cover and surfaces as available. Each track will offer different scenting challenges such as vehicle, pedestrian and animal traffic; woods, water or non-vegetated surfaces.

Qualifying Period: January 1, 2006 through June 30, 2013

Eligibility: All dogs earning the Champion Tracker (CT) title during that time period will be invited.  Priority will be given in the draw for dogs that have not been exhibited in either the 2007, 2009 or 2011 AKC National Tracking Invitational.

Entry limit: Entry is limited to 10 dogs.
