Rain has always been an athletic Basset Hound, successfully competing in agility, obedience, and rally. However, when the all-breed Coursing Ability Test was announced I knew that Rain would love this new event. Over the years Rain had shown great interest in lure coursing at “fun run” coursing events. On June 2, 2011 she proved me right by becoming the first Basset Hound to earn the CA title at the Bluegrass Coursing Club event in Columbia, Kentucky, and she did it at the age of 10 years, 8 months of age!
Rain is a tireless hunter in the field and loves nothing better than a morning at the Ohio Valley Beagle Club working the rabbits. Rain has her CGC and is a Delta Society Pet Partner. We regularly visit the Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati and participate in reading programs.
