The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors has added a discussion regarding the proposed breeding kennel ordinance to the October 12, 2022, meeting agenda.

Please note this is not a public hearing, rather a discussion among Board members with no action anticipated.  This discussion follows recent action by the Board of Supervisors to table the proposal after its September 28, 2022, public hearing.  Those in attendance at that hearing were encouraged to provide suggested changes or further comments on the proposal to County Attorney Tom Miller without delay.  See previous alert.

The entire proposal as it is currently written is available beginning on page 27 of the Board of Supervisors September 28, 2022, meeting agenda.

AKC encourages local breeders and club members to attend the meeting to demonstrate your continued interest, and to provide your feedback on this issue as soon as possible.
