Directions

Follow these easy directions to make a homemade cake or cookie that’s safe for your dog to eat:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet or cake pan.
  2. Stir together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter and milk. Stir in the flour mixture until well blended.
  4. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
  5. If making cookies, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets. If making a cake, Spoon cake batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown. If making cookies, remove them from the baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
  7. Once the cake or cookies have cooled completely, decorate them with yogurt icing or dog-safe frosting.
