The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) is happy to announce that registrations are open for the 2025 National Parent Club Canine Health Conference (NPCCHC)–an essential event for breeders who want to stay at the forefront of canine health.

This year’s conference will be especially meaningful as we celebrate 30 years of CHF’s impact on canine health and the 15th biennial gathering of breeders, veterinary team members, researchers, and dog lovers.

New in 2025: The conference will take place in-person at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, NC from August 7–9, 2025. This is your opportunity to meet face-to-face with experts and build meaningful connections with others who are as passionate about canine health as you. Themed “Science for Healthy, Vibrant Dogs,” the 2025 conference features sessions that speak directly to breeder priorities, including:

  • Vibrant Dogs on the Move – keeping active dogs healthy across a lifetime
  • Connecting Human Medicine for Better Care
  • Balancing Form and Function for health and longevity
  • A keynote presentation on reducing infections and disease in dogs.

Early bird general registration (which ends May 1) is $145. Prices vary for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and students. Attendees are encouraged to join us in person in Durham, but a virtual attendance option will also be available to ensure broad access to this important content.

Let’s celebrate 30 years of progress together.
