American Kennel Club Chief Operating Officer John Lyons announces the appointment of Connie Pearcy to the position of Vice President /Chief Information Officer, effective June 18, 2012.  

 

Pearcy, a former AKC staffer, is returning as a result of current VP/CIO Charles Kneifel’s resignation effective June 1, 2012. 

 

Pearcy joined AKC in 1998 when she was hired to work in the Information Services Division, where she managed database, network and software development teams. She was promoted in 2003 to Assistant Vice President of the Internal Consulting Group, a position she held until 2007. She returns to the company after recent IT leadership roles at ChannelAdvisor, Corp. and SRA.

“Connie blends knowledge and skills in management and IT, and her past experience with AKC will allow her to seamlessly assume leadership of the Information Services Department. She knows our organizational needs and we’re delighted to welcome her back,” said AKC COO John Lyons. “I’d also like to thank Charles Kneifel for his eight years of service. AKC’s capabilities have grown under his leadership, placing us in a strong position for the future.”

A graduate from Duke University, Pearcy brings 17 years of leadership experience to AKC in areas such as product and project management, IT leadership, strategy and business development, organizational transformation and financial modeling.
