More than 7,000 dogs from 160+ breeds will compete at the four-day Michigan Winter Dog Classic Jan. 17-20, 2019. In addition to four days of all-breed conformation shows, there will be more than a dozen shows and exhibitions throughout the weekend, including Scent Work, Rally, Dock Diving, and My Dog Can Do That!

Other exhibitions include duck herding demonstrations, Flyball, health clinics, police K-9 demonstrations, and Meet The Breeds. Whether you’re attending in person or streaming from home, here is everything you need to know.

Stream From Home

Streaming of select events will be available on AKC.tv on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20. You can watch on any mobile device or computer, or by downloading the app on Amazon Fire TV,  Apple TV , or Roku.

Want to Attend?

The show hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. See the schedule of events and health clinics for more details. Tickets are available on show days at the Suburban Collection Showplace Ticket Office from 8:30 AM to 4 PM Thursday and from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Families of two adults and up to three children can attend for $35 with the family plan. Adults pay $10 for individual tickets, and active/inactive military, kids 12-17, and seniors pay $8. Kids under 12 are free.

Can I Bring My Dog?

Any dog can enter the facility, as long as they are participating in “My Dog Can Do That!” Everyone is welcome to participate with their dog in the “My Dog Can Do That!” special event. Dogs do not have to be AKC-registered or pure breeds. They must be at least six months old and have proof of rabies vaccination. Dogs should be brought on a buckle collar and a four-to-six-foot-leash. No retractable leashes, prong collars, chain choke collars or head halters allowed.
