“Heisman is a 5-year-old rescue who has spent the last year learning complex tricks and routines for the AKC Trick Dog program,” Lindsey said. He earned his Elite Performer title in December 2021 after performing a routine called Heisman Solves a Murder in Madison, Wisconsin.
“He first started learning tricks just to give his brain something to do in between agility classes. He learned the basics and didn’t show any signs of wanting to stop, so we kept going! Heisman’s top three favorite tricks are backing up into a handstand, play-growling on cue, and rebounds.”
When Heisman isn’t busy trick training, you can find him participating in Flyball, Fast CAT, or Barn Hunt. He retired from agility in 2021. “Professional life aside, he also enjoys retrieving the squeaky ball, squirrel watching, late-night cuddles, chasing his new Border Collie sister, and spending time with his human grandparents.”
