Did You Know?

Biewer is pronounced like beware, except with a "v"; bee-vare.

The Biewer is named after its originators, Werner and Gertrud Biewer.

The Biewer Terrier was the first breed to be established as a purebred through scientific data rather than pedigree data which is customary.

The Biewer Terrier has been assigned the Toy Group designation.

Oct. 5, 2009 Mars Veterinary created the Biewer Terrier breed signature.

The Biewer Terrier is a very dedicated, loyal family member and friendly with strangers.

The Biewer Terrier has a lighthearted, whimsical; childlike attitude and likes to carry a toy in its mouth.

4/21/14 – From the April 2014 Board Meeting – Two new breeds were added to the Foundation Stock Service Program – the Biewer Terrier and the Pyrenean Mastiff.

The Biewer Terrier is quick to alert you to company, but is not a constant barker.

In spite of its small stature, the Biewer Terrier is a very hearty, athletic dog and an excellent hunter of vermin.

Biewer Terriers are always born tri-color; white, black and gold.

The Biewer Terrier has been recorded in the Foundation Stock Service since April 2014.
