If you own intact female dogs, you could be regulated as a 'commercial' dog breeder under a bill that is advancing in Tennessee.

Amendments that would insert 'commercial dog breeder' regulations into two bills are again on committee agendas for Tuesday (3/28) and Wednesday (3/29).

A problematic bill to regulate pet breeders is scheduled to be heard by the Montana House Business and Labor Committee on March 23, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. House Bill 582 seeks to require licensing, inspections, rules, fees, and penalties for certain dog and cat breeders.

House Bill 570 seeks to establish licensing, inspections, regulations, fees, and penalties for dog and cat breeders.

The Hawaii House of Representative's Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider dog-related proposals on Thursday, February 23, both of which the American Kennel Club (AKC) is concerned with.
