The 2022 AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin will be held on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
This will be the largest dog show in the Americas. Entered in Conformation are 5,376 dogs hailing from 50 states (plus Washington, DC) and 22 countries. Total entries across all Championship weekend events tops 9,395 with Agility, Obedience, the National Owner-Handled Series Finals, junior competitions, AKC Fast CAT, and Diving Dogs. Across these varied events and special attractions, dogs will compete for titles and $150,000 in prize money, the largest amount in the dog show world.
Special attractions will include the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series Finals, the AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy and Junior Stakes, AKC Fast Cat Invitational, and Diving Dogs. The AKC Agility Invitational and AKC Obedience Classic will also take place, along with events showcasing Junior Handlers, such as the Junior Showmanship Finals, AKC Juniors Classic, and AKC Junior Agility Competition.
How to Watch AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin
Beginning on Tuesday, December 13, you can livestream coverage all week long for free, only on AKCtv. The coverage kicks off with the Orlando Cluster, comprising the Space Coast Kennel Club, Brevard Kennel Club, and Central Florida Kennel Club all-breed shows.
On Friday, December 16, livestream coverage begins for AKC Agility Invitational, AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy and Junior Stakes, AKC NOHS Groups, and AKC Obedience Classic.
