New York — On Saturday, February 12, 2005, the Have-A-Heart tradition continues at New York's famed Plaza Hotel, at 9:30 p.m. Members and friends of the fancy will enjoy wonderful company and the melodious sounds of the world reknowned Peter Duchin Orchestra while raising money for two worthy causes: The American Kennel Club's DOGNY project and Take the Lead.
For its fourth annual extravaganza, the gala's ever popular auction offers the Have-a-Heart Diamond pendant and a 50/50 cash raffle to raise funds for DOGNY - AKC's program supporting canine search and rescue organizations throughout the United States - and Take The Lead, which provides direct services, support and care for participants in the sport of dogs who suffer from life-threatening or terminal illnesses. The Have-a-Heart Diamond pendant is a dazzling work of art by Joe McGinnis: a 1.37 carat heart-shaped ruby nestled in 1.58 carats of four handmade, diamond studded hearts. Only one lucky dog lover will get to take this special prize home! 50/50 cash raffle tickets are also available.
Tickets are $50 per person including beverages, with all proceeds to benefit DOGNY and Take the Lead. For tickets and other information, contact Duane Doll of Showsight Magazine at 863-858-3839.
The American Kennel Club and DOGNY would like to thank Doll-McGinnis Publications and the leaders of Have-A-Heart IV for their continuing generosity and support.
