AKC and Hartz Launch Veterinary Outreach Partnership at AVMA

On Sunday, July 25, 2004, The American Kennel Club and The Hartz Mountain Corporation welcomed three AKC events participants and their dogs to the American Veterinary Medical Association Convention in celebration of the new AKC - Hartz Veterinary Outreach partnership. Kristen Hurwitz with Labrador Retriever T-Bar Country Kali CDX, aka "Kali", Patti Murphy with Belgian Tervuren Kinsale Du Cadre Noir, aka "Sailor" and Kelly Murphy with Australian Shepherd Montrose Special Edition, aka "Wessel" brought smiles to the faces of hundreds of conference attendees of all ages, as they greeted visitors to the Hartz booth and demonstrated principles of the up-and-coming sport, AKC Rally. In addition to the appearance of these three wonderful dog-and-handler teams, highlights of the Show also included a grand prize drawing of a free trip for two to the AKC Eukanuba National Championship, courtesy of the Hartz Mountain Corporation.
