"My favorite dog breeds are Bernese Mountain Dog, Border Collie, Beagle, Chow, Chow, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and Pug. I like Bernese Mountain Dogs because they are so cute. I like Border Collies because their fur is so soft and because they are so cute. I like Beagles because they are so playful and because they are cute. I like Chow Chows because they are cute and I like black and brownish orange ones. I like Golden Retrievers because their coat is pretty and because Golden Retrievers make good training dogs and because they're cute. I like Labrador Retrievers because I used to have a black Lab...and all kinds of Labrador Retrievers are cute. I like Pugs because I have a Pug named Cameron and because Pugs are so cute. Dogs are so cute. I love dogs so much! Dog breeds are amazing...

Taylor, second grade

Grades 3-5 - Missy the Cocker Spaniel

"Missy is a remarkably peppy dog. She loves to walk... If there was a gym for dogs, you'd see many Cocker Spaniels there... I love walking her every day."

"She is not only athletic, but also cute, cuddly and loveable. With her big droopy ears, soft eyes and curly fur, Missy appears warm. As you might expect, Missy appeals to people of all ages. She'll cover your face with kisses when greeting you. I love having Missy sleep with me at night."

"This is what makes Missy a very happy dog - a nice new crunchy bone, a tasty doggy treat and a big old pat on the belly. She is always happy to see my familiar face."

"When I feel a nibble on my foot, I know that Missy wants me to wake up. A lick on the hand means she wants to go outside. A big slobbery kiss means she loves me."

"Missy is the best pet I ever had, and she always will be!!!"

Scott, fifth grade

Grades 6-8 - The Pug

"The Pug is my favorite dog. Its pushed in face gives it an adorable look. It is so chubby and soft, and it is a good sniffer. It will cuddle with you, and it makes you feel good that it loves you. Whenever I see a Pug, my heart bursts with love. When it walks, it has a slight waddle. It makes you want to pick it up and squeeze it with love."

"Pugs tend to be very mischievous. They need a lot of attention. They will play around with anything, so you have to keep an eye on them. They are very friendly and love to run around. They also love to sit back and relax and enjoy what is around them."

"Pugs are so amazing. They are very strong and very smart. They always try to do their best. The Pug is a friendly, outgoing, lovable dog. Pugs are so smart that they are easy to train."

"Pugs are loud barkers, but that doesn't mean they are a nuisance. Some people thing they aren't cute, but if you just look at the happy expression on their face and their little tail wagging, deep down you'll know they aren't that bad..."

"I love Pugs so much that I made a board game about them in art class. There are four different kinds of Pugs in my game. I think there should be a real game about Pugs."

"All Pugs really need is love, care, attention, and lots of cuddles. This is the number one dog."
