New York, NY – The American Kennel Club®, in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox and John Grogan, launched a new public service announcement (PSA) campaign tied to the film Marley & Me. The campaign can be viewed at www.akc.org/marley and features 60-, 30- and 15-second television spots and a print PSA designed to remind all dog lovers of the commitment it takes to own a dog.
In the PSA, John Grogan, the author of Marley & Me, directs viewers to www.akc.org to research the right breed for them and learn about dog ownership.

New York, NY - In anticipation of the April 4, 2007 release of the family comedy Firehouse Dog, the American Kennel Club and the Irish Terrier Club of America joined with 20th Century Fox to create a public service announcement reminding moviegoers about the importance of making educated decisions when adding a dog to their home.
In the PSA, star Josh Hutcherson as well as "Rex" the Irish Terrier reiterate the message that potential puppy owners should remember to carefully research the right breed for them before buying a dog.

AKC Debuts New Public Service Announcement

New York, NY - The AKC has produced a new television public service announcement (PSA) in 2005 aimed at educating the general public about child safety around dogs.
The PSA titled "Promise" focuses on the importance of teaching children how to behave around dogs. The 60, 30 and 15 second versions of "Promise" will be distributed nationwide in October, 2005.

New York, NY - The AKC has produced a new television public service announcement (PSA) in 2004 aimed at educating the general public on finding the right breed for its lifestyle.
The PSA titled "Blind Date" focuses on the importance of researching various breeds before buying a puppy. Selecting a breed that fits your lifestyle is the first step of responsible dog ownership. The 60, 30 and 15 second versions of "Blind Date" will be distributed nationwide in November 2004.
