New CAX2 Title-Holders

(Tuesday, July 08, 2014)

The spring brought another major achievement in the sport of AKC Coursing Ability as two All-American dogs earned their Coursing Ability Excellent 2 titles, meaning now three dogs have achieved the feat of passing the test 50 times. The new CAX2 title holders are best friends and their owners are neighbors and friends.

Congratulations to Ingomar Di Mancini Torsione Pane CAX2 CGC (“Baker”), owned by Kate Renner of Washington, DC, and to Iyong Tapat Kaibigan CAX2 (“Kai”), owned by Stephanie Markgraf of Washington, DC. They both earned that 50th leg on the same day at the same trial - May 11, 2014, at a test hosted by the Staten Island Kennel Club in Colts Neck, NJ.

Coursing Ability Tests give dogs an opportunity to do what they love – chase things. A pulley system pulls white trash bags jerkily around a field, and dogs get to give chase, having loads of fun doing so!
