The American Kennel Club is in the process of transitioning to a new registration system. This new system uses digital imaging technology to capture and preserve digital images of every document processed by the AKC. These digital images never degrade, are of much higher quality than our previous microfilmed images, and are available for use in seconds to provide superior customer service when required.

Unfortunately, our new system is not now compatible with all levels of facsimile quality. Therefore, we are suspending fax-based registration services as of April 3, 2003. Legible and complete faxes transmitted to the AKC prior to April 3 are expected to be processed normally.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause. To provide even better customer service, the AKC will be providing online web based registration services later this year, beginning with online litter registrations in June and online dog registrations by the end of the year. Until then, please mail your applications to the address indicated on the form.
