New York, NY – American Kennel Club Chief Operating Officer John Lyons announces the appointment of Michael Ganey to the position of Vice President of Marketing, effective today.

 

Ganey joined AKC in September 2011 as Director of Marketing and was promoted following Vice President Lisa Gonzalez's resignation.

 

Prior to his tenure at AKC, Ganey held senior leadership positions at Howard, Merrell & Partners and Bahlsen, Inc., and founded his own advertising agency, Cobalt Advertising. In past roles, he provided strategic marketing consulting leadership for BASF Plant Science, Cisco, SAS Institute, Fujitsu, Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark, Resound, Interton, Coors Brewing, CORDURA®, BB&T, ING Direct and several technology startups. Ganey has also led significant product launches with Anheuser-Busch, Bahlsen and Frito-Lay.

Ganey received his MBA from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and completed a Strategic Marketing Management Executive Program at the Harvard Business School.
