– AKC Publications Garner 5 Additional Awards –
The American Kennel Club® is proud to announce that the Dog Writer’s Association of America (DWAA) honored AKC Family Dog with its “Best All-Breed Magazine” award. This year was the publication’s first nomination for the award. In addition, the AKC Gazette won three awards at the DWAA awards banquet held on February 11, 2007. The publication also received two awards from the Purebred Alliance of Writers (PAWS) at the Sardi’s Luncheon, on the same day.
AKC Family Dog, created in 2003, joins its older sister publication, the AKC Gazette, as a Best All-Breed Magazine award winner. The AKC Gazette has won the coveted Maxwell medallion in this category twice before.
