New York, NY The American Kennel Club® is pleased to announce the hiring of William H. Deily, Jr. as the Director of Inspections and Investigations. Deily, who replaces the recently retired Steve Robinson, has joined the staff in Raleigh, NC.

Deily has extensive background in both the sport of purebred dogs and law enforcement. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for 30 years as a Special Agent, SWAT team member and as a Ground Coordinator managing complex investigations. Since his retirement from the FBI in 1999, Deily has worked as a government contractor for ManTech Solutions and Technology Corp and the FBI.

Deily also has nearly 40 years experience in the sport of purebred dogs. He started with Irish Setters and now owns Dachshunds. He has bred and shown both breeds extensively, participating in conformation, obedience, field trials and earthdog events. He is also a licensed AKC field trial judge. Deily is a member of many dog clubs including the Irish Setter Club of America, the Bayou Dachshund Club of Greater New Orleans and the Irish Setter Club of Greater New Orleans.
